Birdie is a native San Diegan who is proud to call the City of St. Louis home. She has worked in commercial and residential property management and development since 2017, and currently works for Washington University with the open-market, off-campus housing company Parallel Properties. Birdie also performs with and serves on the Board of Directors with the nonprofit arts group Leverage Dance Theater, and enjoys sparking social dialogue through art within her community. She is also an AmSAT-certified Instructor of the Alexander Technique, which is a brain-based approach to conscious movement and habit-repatterning, which translates to the areas of thinking calmly under pressure and maximizing efficiency. Birdie enjoys community-building through the arts and humor, and will accept any request to a dance-off if challenged.
