Lindsay is a Master of Social Work (MSW) candidate at Washington University in St. Louis, concentrating in Domestic Social and Economic Development. They have lived in many different regions and cities in the United States, but consider Grand Rapids, Michigan to feel the most like home. In 2021, they received a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree with a minor in Spanish from Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Lindsay is interested in affordable housing, public safety, community engagement, and organizing towards a more just community and world.

Prior to interning at Rise, Lindsay worked in a number of different roles. They served as an AmeriCorps member with the Alpine Achievers Initiative in Colorado’s San Luis Valley, where they provided structured academic interventions for middle school youth. They interned at the Garfield Park Neighborhoods Association in Grand Rapids, Michigan where they worked on neighborhood projects focused on unifying, organizing, and strengthening the local Garfield Park neighborhoods. And they worked as an Academically-Based Service-Learning Coordinator at Calvin University’s Service-Learning Center where they coordinated service-learning and community engagement opportunities for faculty, staff, and students at the university.
