Welcome to round 10 of Featured Rise Up Attractions! Our spotlights today are artist Lynn Lees, the Downtown YMCA, and Platinum Rock Legends!
Lynn Lees, photographer, first began to practice her medium when taking photos of her children as they grew up. Since then, she has pursued her love for photography and attends many local fairs and festivals showing her work. Lynn enjoys inspiring wonder and awe within those that view her photographs. “I don’t want my art to look like anything you’ve ever seen before or it’s just another picture. It should grab your attention by drawing you in so you can see & feel it deeper,” expressed Lynn. She enjoys using a macro lens which helps to capture the tiniest wonders of the world, otherwise invisible to the naked eye. Also, she loves catching on camera moments that only last for a second, such as fireworks. Come experience Lynn’s work at the Rise Up Festival, and share in her passion for the beauty of the world around you.
Provided by the Downtown YMCA, will be a booth offering kids activities. Feel free to bring the whole family over to this area to enjoy hospitality, courtesy of the YMCA staff. Covering songs by eighteen classic and beloved artists such as: Billy Idol, Journey, Bon Jovi, Queen, and Guns N’ Roses, Platinum Rock Legends will get the crowd rocking out as the Rise Up Festival carries on into the evening. This band provides an interactive show, keeping the audience involved and entertained throughout their whole electrifying set.
