POSITION OVERVIEW

Asset Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW

Rise Community Development (Rise) is seeking a focused individual with a desire to support the provision of high-quality affordable housing for the role of Asset Manager. This managerial-level position provides strategic oversight and guidance to Rise’s real estate portfolio; ensures that Rise is a responsible property owner; the portfolio is performing optimally; works with third-party fee managers to assure that homes are clean, safe, and well-maintained; and residents’ time in a Rise home leads to positive outcomes for their household.

Credit Analyst

POSITION OVERVIEW

Rise CDFI, an affiliate of Rise Community Development, is seeking a driven individual with a desire to have a positive impact on wealth building and closing the racial wealth gap in our region, by increasing access to capital through our Minority Contractor Loan Fund and Real Estate Developer Loan Fund. Asa mission-driven lender, Rise CDFI supports borrowers not only with access to capital but with key business support and technical assistance to build capacity and bolster sustainable economic growth.

The Young Friends and Young Professionals Board

Rise supports the Young Friends and their executive board, the Young Professionals. This is a group of young professionals in the St. Louis area who volunteer their time on service projects to help make the region better. Learn more about this organization here. 

Additional Internship / Practicum Information

For both the open internship and practicum opportunities, the following information applies:

Some of the duties of Rise interns and may involve a role working with:

  • CDFI/Minority Contractor Load Fund administration
  • Development and evaluation of outcome measures
  • Coordination of quarterly group training classes/seminars
  • Individualized technical assistance support
  • Housing, neighborhood and community planning
  • Development, administering and monitoring of social service enrichment plans
  • Administering Collaborative Grant Program
  • Support of Rise’s Community Development Technical Assistance Program Committee
  • Predevelopment – and housing development
  • Construction management
  • Asset management
  • Development and marketing
  • Advocacy and community engagement
  • Contributing to writing grant applications

Many interns and practicum students have gone on to work for affordable housing development companies, urban planning consultancies, banks/financial institutions, tax credit equity firms, all levels of government along with community development corporations and other nonprofit community service organizations.
