Kate Feit (she/her)
Project Manager
Kate joined Rise in 2022 as a Project Manager, a role in which she manages real estate developments for Rise and its Partners in the St. Louis Region. Kate comes to Rise with 10 years of affordable housing experience spanning the nonprofit, public, and private sectors. As an AmeriCorps member for Rebuilding Together St. Louis she learned first-hand the urgent need for safe and affordable housing. Prior to Rise, Kate was an Assistant Vice President and Asset Manager at US Bancorp Community Development Corporation where she managed low-income housing tax credit equity investments and affordable housing loans. She also served as Asset Manager at the City of St. Louis Community Development Administration and as a Research Analyst for Development Strategies, a real estate consultant.
Growing up, Kate spent grades K through 12 living internationally in Nigeria, Venezuela, Kuwait, and Indonesia, where she learned fluent Spanish and conversational Indonesian.
Exposure to international travel spurred her interest in urban planning and development. After graduating from the American School of Kuwait, she pursued this interest and earned an undergraduate degree in Geography and a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Florida State University. While pursuing these degrees, she studied abroad at The Florida State University – the Republic of Panama Campus. She has served on the board of a north St. Louis City community development corporation and is a certified housing development finance professional.
Kate has called St. Louis home since 2011 and is drawn to the region’s beautiful architecture, tenacious community development sector, and Midwestern friendliness. In her free time, she can be found riding one of her bikes or planning a trip to a new city.
